Polka dots of pink and whimsical décor…
A movie starlet bride and a vintage allure…

On a bright summer afternoon, where pink polka dots spotted the land, and fashions of yesteryear added a touch of nostalgia, it was happily ever at this oh so eclectic wedding ceremony and reception at the father of the bride’s sprawling property in St. Louis.

Love in the Afternoon: Ah, the exquisite outdoor ceremony. The day couldn’t have been more perfect. Guests were transported to an era of elegance from the 1950s. The bride appeared in a vintage cocktail halter dress with navy blue piping, her hair curled like a movie starlet. A jazz quartet provided the romantic interludes. The newly ordained father of the bride performed the ceremony as the bright sun shined down upon the new couple and their guests.

Some Like it Pink: Guests congregated within the massive tent for the dinner and reception. Polka dots swirled throughout the space. Tables were decorated with “Fuchsia Imperial Stripe” cloth with crisp, white padded folding chairs along side. Guests received a keepsake of a single martini glass with a pink dot and a little message within.

The buffet was a wonderful blend of excellent dishes, including Chicken Cognac, Vegetable Napoleon, and many other delectable delights. Tall centerpieces florally enhanced the entire room. The jazz quartet added their romantic sophistication to the atmosphere.

As dinner ended, an energetic East Coast Style Deejay promptly tore the roof off the tent spinning up-tempo, vinyl classics that mixed electronic music with a jazzy vibe. Guests danced and partied throughout the evening.

At the stroke of midnight, a 1950s white, vintage Rolls Royce sedan pulled up the driveway of the residence. The driver stepped out of the car, opened the back door, and beckoned the bride and groom. Guests watched in awe as the lovely couple hopped in the Rolls, and drove away into the night to begin their new lives together.
